Dynamic rotary filter

The ROCKET unit is suited to filtering products such as clarification lees from juice, must or wine, flotation lees and residues from cross-flow filters.
It causes no heating or denaturation of the product and no loss of colour or alcohol content, thanks to a low-pressure filtering process and a stabilised filtering medium.
Low power consumption, small footprint, ease of use and a fully autonomous process.
The process
Filtration takes place on semi-permeable ceramic discs fed at low pressure and constant flow, with a nominal pore size of 0.2 micron and without filter aids such as kieselguhr. The product passes through the filtering medium leaving the solids on the outer surface; the liquid that permeates the disc is collected by a central manifold.
The discs are kept in constant rotation so that their outer surface cleans itself, ensuring long-lasting filtration at a constant flow rate. A back-wash with the filtered product itself is also provided.
